Roots Real Estate is a boutique estate agency that opened their doors in 2003. Initially selling off-plan developments and identifying a need for professionally managed rentals, we stepped into our role on estates we had intimate knowledge of prior to breaking ground. Over the years, our portfolio has grown through word-of-mouth referrals. 23 years of hands-on experience.
Today, we specialise in managing both free-standing homes and sectional title properties, offering a personalised and reliable service to property owners and tenants alike. In 2018, we relocated from Johannesburg to Kommetjie in the Southern Peninsula. To ensure the highest level of service and industry compliance, we subscribe to TPN for all credit checks , legal documents and support. We avail of the Red Rabbit inspection system to ensure accurate, detailed inspections are carried out which have proved to be life-changing for all parties. Red Rabbit also incorporates a repair and maintenance reporting system which streamlines the reporting process for tenants and keeps a detailed record of repairs carried out. Propworx is our billing system which is stable and gives detailed reports to both Landlords for tax purposes and to tenants alike. We are PPRA registered and members of IEASA (Institute of Estate Agents South Africa). We make use of eFICA to streamline the FICA process.
Roots Real Estate is led by Kim Miller, Principal Agent, who oversees sales and long-term rentals across the Southern Peninsula and deep South. Kim is supported by a hands-on administrative team who keep everything on track in the background. Quietly, efficiently and with care.
Ann Meredith joined the team as an intern agent early in 2025 and has been mentored at Roots Real Estate. She has hands-on experience gained from day to day activities . Ann will be taking the NQF 4 exam in September 2026.
